Educational Gap:    Flexible bronchoscopy is an important diagnostic and therapeutic tool for management of pediatric patients with pulmonary problems. The use of the flexible endoscopy in investigating pediatric respiratory problems in children has become routine in many large pediatric hospitals and has led to significant insights into various pulmonary disease processes. However, many physicians have completed formal pulmonary training programs without the opportunity to develop skills in bronchoscopy nor have had formal training in bronchology.
Accreditation:
In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physicians:    Cincinnati Children’s designates this enduring material for a maximum of 22.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
